VERDICT / Driver Reviver is solid overall. With a powerful scanning capacity and plenty of features to customize, it’s a great option for users of any experience level.
Driver Reviver is a great driver update software option for inexperienced and advanced computer users alike. We found the software to be easy to use, well-organized and powerful in our tests. It is packed with a wide variety of important features and functions you need, though it lacks an uninstall driver option. It does the heavy lifting for you while still leaving control in your hands, and it is compatible with recent Windows versions. The software is a solid bet overall and well deserving of our Top Ten Reviews Silver Award.
Though no software caught all of the 277 drivers on our test computer, Driver Reviver caught 109, which is one of the highest numbers of found drivers of the programs in our review. It also provides more details than you need about driver versions and sources, which is helpful. As it scans, it shows you the list of all the drivers it has scanned, and it does the same when you download updates.
After you run a scan on your computer, the driver updater software displays each driver that needs to be updated and how out of date it is, which can give you a good idea of the overall health of your computer. It can scan and identify up-to-date drivers as well as outdated, missing and unplugged drivers.
Resolve & Optimize
Driver Reviver is easy to use, and its layout is intuitive. It is bright and colorful, and people of any experience level can use it. With its large, clearly labeled buttons, you can navigate between different categories within the software. It is feature rich and lets you view your scan history, the dates your drivers were installed, if updates are available and what classes of drivers they are. It even automatically downloads your updates after the scanning process completes. The exclusion option lets you pick and choose which drivers to update if you don’t want to update them all simultaneously.
Because it’s one of the best driver updaters, performing a driver backup or restoration is quick. It gives you the option to create a backup for a specific driver or to create a complete backup of all your system’s drivers. If you end up creating multiple backups over time, any time you want to perform a driver restoration, you can choose which save to run and whether or not to automatically reboot.
You can set up a schedule for the software to run scans, whether daily or weekly, and even choose the specific time of day to scan. It also only uses the proper original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sources. The software is compatible with all recent versions of Windows from XP forward, which adds to the driver software’s ease of use, as does its capacity to run in 16 different languages. Your processor needs to be 300MHz or higher, and you also need 22MB of hard disk space and 256MB of RAM for this software to run.
Help & Support

There is also a thorough help section built right in to the software interface, so you don’t have to leave the program to get assistance.
You actually purchase a yearly subscription to the program; you are charged the same price each year you wish to keep the software, but you can cancel it at any time. Still, the software is bloatware- and malware-free.
Driver Reviver quickly identified a large number of drivers compared to other products in our review. Using this program, you have control over updating, backing up and restoring drivers, and scheduling automatic scans. The only drawbacks are slight; for example, it doesn’t have an uninstall option. Driver Reviver is a premium driver update software package with an assortment of tools and functions that keep your system running at optimum performance.
