The Epson WorkForce WF-110 Wireless Mobile Printer is the best compact printer for professionals on the go. As part of Epson’s Workforce lineup, the WF-110 is specifically designed with business professionals in mind, letting you print important documents for meetings, invoices, contracts and more without having to head back to the office.

If you’re looking for the ultimate business companion on the go, then the Epson WF-110 is the perfect mobile printer for you. If you’re just looking for a compact printer to fit into a small space like a home office or on your desk in your apartment then you should check out our other reviews, like the HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile. So, how does the Epson WF-110 stack up against the other compact printers out there?

Epson Workforce WF-110 review: Features

To make sure it’s suited to a life on the move, the Epson WF-110 has everything it needs packed in. There’s a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which can be charged via USB or AC adapter, and wireless connectivity in the form of 5 Ghz WiFi, so you should be able to connect it to any gadget, from your smartphone to your laptop. You can also buy an optional external battery, which greatly improves the print capacity of the Epson WF-110 on to go.

It’s tiny too, weighing just 3.5 lbs and measuring 12.2 x 6.1 x 2.4 inches when it’s packed away, which makes it super easy to store and carry around with you. Then, when you need to print something, it opens up into a still impressively small little printer measuring 12.2 x 9.1 x 8.5 inches. That’s pretty compact, though if you’re looking for something truly minuscule then you should check out the Brother PocketJet PJ763mfi

Epson Workforce WF-110 review: Print Quality

The print quality is great, with instant drying ink to help you avoid smudges and imperfections on your important documents. The Epson WF-110 prints at a resolution of 5760 x 1440 with optimized DPI, which is more than good enough for work documents and presentations. It prints documents up to A4 size with print speeds up to 6.7 ISO ppm in black and white, or 3.8 ISO in color. This makes it a good photo printer, but also versatile enough for work presentations and posters.

Using the Epson WF-110 is easy enough thanks to the simple and straightforward 1.4 inch color LCD control panel. No one wants to be messing around with complicated settings when they’re on the go, so we appreciate the simplicity of this set-up. If you’re looking for something with more complex options, we’d recommend the Canon PIXMA TR150.

It also prints 6 x 4 inch borderless photos, which is perfect for printing off a quick photo to commemorate a successful business deal or just a few holiday snaps if you decide to take this with you on a more relaxing trip.

The Epson WF-110 can be quite thirsty in terms of ink usage, and this seems to be the source of most complaints about it. One user review stated that it used up the entire black cartridge after printing just 24 pages. The vast majority of user reviews have been positive though, with a 57% five star rating on Amazon.

Epson Workforce WF-110 review: Connectivity

The printer supports just about any device you can think of, including Windows and Mac home computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. For mobile printing, it supports both Apple AirPlay and Google Cloud Print, but the company also offers its own Epson iPrint mobile app for iOS and Android and adds support for things like sending documents to print via email, letting you print from anywhere.

One neat extra feature of the Epson WF-110 is that it is capable of voice-activated printing. You can connect your printer to either Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant and once it’s set up you’re good to go. So if you’re on Alexa and want to print your to-do list, you’d just say “Alexa, ask Epson printer to print to-do list” and it will print for you.

Epson Workforce WF-110 review: Price and warranty

The Epson WF-110 has an MSRP of $299.99, which slots it firmly into the middle of the pack in terms of compact printer prices. With that said, not all compact printers are as fully mobile as the Epson WF-110, so in reality you’ll struggle to find a cheaper or better printer that will work without a mains power connection. We’ve seen the Epson WF-110 drop in price on some sites reasonably often too. For example, at time of writing the Epson WF-110 is available for $260 at Amazon.

Epson also provides a manufacturer warranty for the Epson WF-110, covering the device against defects and materials failures for one year. Alongside this you also get technical support via phone or email and access to online manuals and FAQs.

Should you buy the Epson Workforce WF-110?

If you’re constantly on the move and need a reliable printer to take with you, then the Epson WF-110 is the perfect solution. It’s small, lightweight, and battery operated so you can take it with you anywhere. The only major complaint we have is that it blasts through printer ink, so you might want to look at a laserjet printer if that’s going to be an issue for you.
