The Kenmore 49443 is a thermal wall double oven. It has 4.6 cubic feet of cooking space in each oven and uses traditional thermal cooking technology. It provides outstanding cooking performance and includes a handful of settings and controls to make preparing meals easier.

The design of the Kenmore 49443 is similar to many other wall double ovens. It includes five oven racks and several safety features. For instance, the oven automatically shuts off if you accidentally leave it on for a certain time, and the door automatically locks during the self-cleaning cycle.

With this Kenmore wall double oven, each oven has 4.6 cubic feet of cooking space. This is the average size for wall ovens. This electric wall double oven can reach high temperatures on bake settings, with up to 3,400 watts of power in the upper oven and 2,750 watts in the lower oven. However, this oven does not provide any type of convection capabilities. With convection technology, a small fan would circulate the hot air inside the oven, which makes for faster baking times and more evenly cooked dishes.

The self-clean cycle is fast on this oven. The shortest cleaning cycle is only two hours, which ties with the fastest cleaning cycles in comparable ovens. Several additional features enhance this oven, including delayed bake capabilities and a warming option. With the delayed bake option, you can set the oven to turn on later so that your food finishes at just the right time, and the warm setting allows you to leave your cooked food in the oven to simply keep it from growing cool. However, there is no temperature probe built into the oven to allow you to quickly check the doneness of your food. It does not include any type of defrost setting or rapid preheat option to cut down the preheating time either.

The Kenmore 49443 is an electric wall double oven that provides powerful cooking performance and several features, including a short self-cleaning option. The lack of convection capabilities and a temperature probe are disadvantages, but this wall double oven provides all of the basic features and a few extras.
