Pros / Jacuzzi has a large selection of hot tubs in a wide variety of configurations.
Cons / Its spas don’t come with covers.
Verdict / Jacuzzi’s large network of dealers and good selection of optional accessories make it easy to configure the perfect hot tub for your home.
“Jacuzzi” is often used synonymously with “hot tub” because it is such a well-known brand in the spa industry. Each of its spas is designed to be energy efficient to save you money on your electric bills.
The company has a trade-in program that lets you apply the value of your used Jacuzzi toward the purchase of a new model. This is one of only a few manufacturers we reviewed, including Hot Spring, that have a trade-in program.
Jacuzzi’s PowerPro jets use both air and water, so they can give intense and soft massages. This air-water combo also means you can use essential oils in your hot tub without risking residue damaging the filtration system. There are several types of jets with streams that have different effects. For example, there is a hydrotherapy jet made for arthritis sufferers. You can test each of these jets in a Jacuzzi showroom.
Each spa has Jacuzzi’s programmable circulation pump, which uses heat from the motor to warm the water as the system filters and sanitizes it. This is an energy-saving feature that can save you money on your utility bills.
You need to purchase a hot tub cover separately, as none of the models include one. Most of Jacuzzi’s best-selling hot tubs seat five to seven people.
Here are three of the manufacturer’s popular models:
J-LX: The Jacuzzi J-LX luxury hot tub has open seating, which makes it a good option for entertaining and large families. It seats up to seven people and includes 31 jets, with some streams located in each seat and around the bottom of the spa. You can add extras like a hot tub cover and spa steps, which make it easier to get in and out of the spa.
J-480: The Jacuzzi J-480 seats up to six adults and includes a lounge, a seat made for reclining rather than sitting upright. It has 52 PowerPro jets and a double waterfall that relaxes your neck and back.
The J-480 comes standard with LED accent lighting, spa pillows and the ProTouch panel, which pairs with the ProLink app to let you control jet functions and schedule maintenance with a smartphone or tablet. You can choose to add extras like a cover, spa steps or a remote-controlled wireless sound system.
J-375: The J-375 seats six and includes a large lounge seat with wrist jets, a comforting bubbling effect and a PowerPro Therapy seat. It has a total of 50 jets and includes a therapeutic waterfall. You can add accessories like a cover lifter, wireless surround sound and spa steps, which make it easier to get in and out of the hot tub.
