If you’re wondering which brand to invest in, keep reading. We’ll be going into more detail throughout our Maytag vs LG washers comparison to see what areas each brand excels in.

Maytag vs LG washers: Product range

Looking at Maytag and LG’s product range, Maytag sells a variety of top load washers, front load washers, and a few stackable options to choose from. The brand also creates some of the best dryers for quicker drying times, along with commercial-grade washers.

One of its most popular lines is the Smart Capable Top Load Washer, which comes with 4.7 cubic feet of space and an extra power button. This is Maytag’s heavy-duty washing machine line that can sync with smart technology and gives the ‘most powerful cleaning’ ever thanks to its heavy-duty cycle and Extra Power button.

LG’s washing machine product range keeps innovation at its core. The South Korean-based brand has a wider product selection, with top loaders, front-loading washers, and separate dryers to choose from.

You’ll also discover some of the best washer dryer combos in addition to its WashTower line. This is essentially two washing machines stacked on top of each other. Plus, there’s a separate range of small and extra capacity washers available. But it’s the LG Signature range that is proven to be the brand’s most loved line. This range champions functionality and design.

Maytag vs LG washers: Design

LG washers are powered by innovative design elements. For example, many of the brand’s washers feature its intelligent care design, called AI DD™. This piece of design tech uses AI to dictate the right wash setting for your clothes. Once you have chosen the cycle you want to use, the AI DD™ weighs your laundry and detects the softness of your fabrics.

It then selects the washing pattern for each fabric based on what the brand calls deep-learning technology. This special tech is said to help provide 18% more fabric protection. But it doesn’t stop there. Other design highlights include:

  • LG’s Bigger Capacity design  – this gives you a bigger drum in an average-sized washing machine
  • A quiet wash – thanks to its Inverter Direct Driver Motor

The designs of the washers differ from Maytag's as the brand focuses on the build of the machine rather than innovation. Many of Maytag’s washers are designed with large washing capacities available, with its biggest washer being able to handle a massive 5.3 Cu. Ft. Other design highlights include:

  • Maytag’s heavy-duty cycles, which according to the brand helps to deliver the ‘most powerful clean’ in the industry
  • An Extra Power button – This helps to boost its stain-fighting performance on any wash cycle with a dual-temperature wash

Matching power with innovation, LG comes up trumps when it comes to the design of Maytag vs LG washers. The clever washing machine design uses AI technology to help clean and protect the lifespan of your clothes while being able to fit more dirty laundry into one wash.

Whether you want a top loader or front loading machine, it’s rare that you’ll find these appliances for less than LG’s average MSRP of $1,000. One of LG’s newer front-loading models is its LG Turbowash360 which is priced at $1,375. While one of the brand’s most popular models, the Smart Washing Machine with TrueSteam™ and TurboWash™ technology will set you back $1,640.

On the other hand, Maytag is a brand that’s known for making quality home appliances that are more affordable. A handful of the brand’s top load washers are priced at the MSRP of around $749.00, while most of Maytag’s washers will set you back anywhere between $800 to $1,100.
