PROS / The Razr Maxx is remarkably thin and lightweight, yet it boasts a long-lasting battery and scratch-resistant Kevlar casing.
CONS / It has Android 2.3 installed, the most common but not the latest Android OS version.
VERDICT / Lightweight, durable and long-lasting, this Android phone is ideal for power users on the go.
The Droid Razr Maxx is the newest addition to Motorola’s long string of popular Razr phones. While the exterior of this Android smartphone hasn’t changed much from the preceding Droid Razr, Motorola has made significant improvements to its hardware. We compare the best Android phones, and with excellent battery life and notable design, this TopTenREVIEWS Silver Award winner proves an Android smartphone can be both lightweight and long lasting without the bulk.
The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx feels lightweight and svelte in hand, yet its Kevlar backing is extremely durable. The device provides an ample 32GB of storage space, and its battery will last for hours on end for light to moderate users. We’d like to see the device support Android 4.0 natively, not just promised in future updates. Still, the Razr Maxx will likely be more than enough mobile tech for most, with its blazing speed, long-lasting battery and sleek design.
