Although Scrapbook Factory Deluxe is not marketed as a desktop publishing software product, it is so well equipped and versatile that it lets you do a considerable number of things that major desktop publishing software does.

By using the existing templates or getting creative with the blank templates, you can design and produce a number of print products including calendars, greeting cards, certificates, invitations, letterhead and stationery sets, menus, brochures, newsletters and postcards.

You get more than 6,400 project templates, more than 75,000 images and more than 1,500 fonts from which to choose when preparing whatever project you have in mind. There also are an additional 6,000 embellishments that you can employ to jazz up your project. Along with the clip art that comes with the software, you can import photos from digital cameras, mobile phones, scanners and CDs. Unfortunately, you can't import any clip art of your own.

When it comes to output, you can share your project by printing it as a paper product or you can send it via email.

Scrapbook Factory Deluxe presents a clean and open interface that is quite easy to use. Among other things, it boasts a drag-and-drop capability. Because it is so easy to move page elements around, you can easily experiment to see how different options look as you are designing your project. You also get a healthy set of photo editing tools you can use to adjust light and color, repair flaws in pictures, crop, flip, rotate and resize photos.

Nova Development, the manufacturer, provides great customer service. On its website, you can find phone and email support, FAQs, tutorials, live chat and a user forum. You get a printed user manual with the software that provides straightforward and clear information. There also is an online help section built into the software that you can use to look for answers to any questions or problems that might come up.

Scrapbook Factory Deluxe is not primarily a desktop publishing software product, but its helpful features and editing tools allow you do handle many of the tasks that regular desktop publishing software performs, and the results are attractive.
