The Stiebel Eltron Tempra 29 Plus is a self-modulating tankless water heater. It can be used to heat water for an entire house, depending on how many faucets you have in your home, and also on the temperature of the ground water where you live.
If you live in an area that has a ground water temperature of around 42 degrees Fahrenheit, then you can expect a flow rate of 3.1 GPM, but this will increase to a flow rate of 3.7 GPM if your area is 52 degrees, and up to 6 GPM if your area is 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Stiebel Eltron Tempra 29 Plus can reach a maximum power draw of 120 Amps using three 40 Amp breakers. In order for this tankless water heater to work, you’ll need a 240 Volt electric service.
It’s worth noting that this tankless water heater must be positioned vertically and ideally somewhere where you can access its controls easily enough.
