PROS / For the value, this TV has one of the best pictures and smart hubs around.
CONS / The M-Series no longer features 3D technology.
VERDICT / The Vizio M-Series is a good value considering its competitive picture quality and smart TV features.
Vizio delivers quality and reliability at a cheaper price than some of the brand-name smart TV manufacturers. The Vizio M-Series is one of the best values, performing as well as the best smart LED TVs in picture quality, smart app features and dependability.
This TV does not score as well as the best smart TVs in picture quality, but it's not far behind. It performs better than other entry-level TVs in sound quality. Most LED TVs have two 10-watt speakers. The Vizio M-Series features two 15-watt speakers for a little more kick. We still recommend adding a sound system if you're building a home theater, but these speakers are stronger than most of the competition.
Vizio has an average number of preloaded apps, but it does come loaded with the most popular video streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and Hulu Plus. It also comes with Pandora, Spotify and iHeart Radio for music. The Vizio Via app store also features hundreds of other apps you can download such as Yahoo News, eBay and Facebook. Vizio TVs have a very clean, intuitive app interface.
To connect to the internet, you can hardline in with an Ethernet port, or use the built-in Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, the Vizio M-Series no longer plays 3D content. This is not a deal breaker unless you have tons of 3D content you’d like to watch. The Vizio M-Series TVs have four HDMI ports. You will also save one port by not having to plug in an internet media player into the TV, leaving your HDMI ports for high-definition gaming systems and Blu-ray players.
Vizio, known for being a budget brand, has raised the quality of its products and built a solid reputation for service. It offers customer support through live chat, toll-free telephone and email.
Smart TVs are becoming increasingly popular due to the demand for online video streaming. Smart TVs don’t have to be expensive, and you don’t have to scour the bottom of the barrel to find a good quality, cheap LED TV. The Vizio M-Series of smart TVs is one of the best options on the market. It has an impressive picture for the price, and it has a very easy smart hub and plenty of downloadable apps.
