Pros / True Key automatically saves new passwords in the background as you browse the web.

Cons / This service does not offer live chat or telephone support.

Verdict / True Key Premium is easy to use and offers excellent browser support. It doesn't have as many features as some other password managers but makes up for that by being easy to use.

True Key Premium is different from most cloud password managers. On the surface, it doesn't appear to have many features, but it automates most tasks, except filling forms on websites, better than the competition. True Key supports every popular web browser and most operating systems. For customer support, True Key's options are similar to those of most online password managers.

When you look at True Key's security features, it offers the same basic functions as most password managers. The software has a password generator, an encrypted password vault and secure notes. If you shop online, you can use the digital wallet for quick access to your credit card numbers, addresses, memberships as well as government-issued IDs.

True Key also has multifactor authentication, which adds extra requirements to the login process to keep people from logging on unauthorized devices. Among the authentication methods are one-time codes you get over email, trusted devices (smartphones, tablets and computers that True Key's app recognizes as yours) and facial recognition. True Key is the only password manager in our review to use facial recognition as a login method.

In terms of convenience features, True Key doesn't have the same functionality as the best password managers, though it still has much to offer. True Key is the only password manager that automatically saves new passwords without any input from you. It discretely captures this information in the background as you log into new websites. The other services in our review have a pop-up window that asks if you want to save a password.

Unlike higher-ranked competitors, True Key can't autofill forms on websites, other than the username and the password. This means you need to manually copy data from the digital wallet to fill out payment methods on websites. True Key is the only service we reviewed that doesn't let you organize passwords into categories, but the user interface is very easy to use, so it's unlikely that you need to create categories.

True Key supports every major browser we looked for in our testing: Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera. You can download the True Key app on most operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, but not Linux.

If you need assistance with your account, you can contact Intel, the developer of True Key, via email and social media. These are the two most common support channels among password managers. True Key does not offer customer support over live chat or telephone.

True Key Premium is a secure password manager that works in the background to save new passwords automatically. This password management software doesn't offer as many convenience features as the competition, such as filling forms on websites. However, True Key manages to be a very effective service that keeps everything simple and easy to use.
