Samsung RS27T5200SR side-by-side refrigerator review: Design and features

The Samsung RS27T5200SR certainly looks the part as a modern refrigerator that can enhance any kitchen it's placed in. That applies to the stainless steel finish, the black stainless steel, and even the white option.

Whatever style you go for, you can rely on that anti-fingerprint finish to stop the build-up of smudge marks that mucky hands opening the front inevitably causes. This makes the model ideal for families where children tend to mark up the refrigerator.

The front of the refrigerator features a water dispenser with a tall form factor which makes it ideal for larger drinks holders. Above this is a minimal touch control panel for making adjustments between water, cubed ice and crushed ice.

There is also an auto ice maker in the top of the freezer door. This keeps storage capacity on the shelves to a maximum while still offering lots of ice right there in the door space, automatically.

Cooling is all around, meaning the entire system remains cold in order to keep food as fresh for as long as possible. Lighting is similarly all-encompassing with LEDs built in to keep everything bright.

Samsung RS27T5200SR side-by-side refrigerator review: Size & dimensions

The Samsung RS27T5200SR is a standard depth refrigerator, making it ideal to place into the built-in side of any kitchen. But, despite fitting in, this offers a lot more capacity than many other refrigerators.

The total, at 27.4 cubic feet is a 10% jump up from the previous model – a huge amount when you consider the outer frame size remains the same.

Samsung RS27T5200SR side-by-side refrigerator review: Efficiency & warranty

The Samsung RS27T5200SR comes with a one-year parts and labor warranty. Then it's a five-year warranty for the parts and labor specifically for the sealed unit which includes the compressor, evaporator, condenser, drier, and connecting tubing. Should you buy the Samsung RS27T5200SR?

If you want a really large fridge freezer that looks great, resists fingerprints, has an auto ice maker, ice dispenser and water dispenser, then the Samsung RS27T5200SR could be ideal for you. Make savings by going for a cheaper color finish or pay top dollar and get a great looking unit that will enhance the kitchen it lives in.

If you want to spend a bit more you could go for fancy features like WiFi connectivity or door-in-door from the LG LRSES2706V, but if those aren't for you then this is ideal. Of course you could save more by going for a less decent looking model, such as the Samsung RS25J500DSR.
