In terms of features, the Amana ASI2575GRS has an in-built water and ice maker. This system also filters the water and creates a combination of cubed ice and crushed ice to suit your taste. With a dual pad system, you can choose which type of ice you’d like before adding your water, but you won’t be able to add ice and water simultaneously.
Available in a choice of three colors; black, white, and stainless steel, this refrigerator has auto-defrost. The controls on the Amana ASI2575GRS are easy to use and are electronic, and with freshness controls, you can make sure your fruits and veggies last for as long as possible. Inside the refrigerator door, there are three adjustable door bins. These are a gallon in size and will easily fit larger cartons or six cans of soda in them. The Amana also features a Dairy Bin, and its refrigerator shelves are made of glass.
The Amana ASI2575GRS isn’t bursting with features but it’s also not charging the same amount as models that offer WiFi compatibility and other smart features.

The Amana ASI2575GRS offers 24.6 cubic feet in capacity, that’s split across the refrigerator compartment and the freezer. The refrigerator has a capacity of 15.46 cubic feet, while the freezer has a capacity of 9.11 cubic feet.
That places the freezer in line with smaller freezers, with anything over 12 cubic feet considered a medium-sized freezer. How do you know if the Amana ASI2575GRS will provide enough space for you? As a general rule, one cubic foot of space will allow you to store 35 pounds of food (that’s about the size of a bag of cat or dog dry food).
The Amana ASI2575GRS’s running costs will vary slightly depending on where you live, however, its estimated annual running costs are $84. This is based on an average electricity cost of 12 cents per kWh.
Amana ASI2575GRS: How easy is it to install?
The good news is you can install the Amana ASI2575GRS by yourself. It will be pretty bulky and heavy though, so we recommend making sure you’ve got someone else there to help. Before you buy this refrigerator, or any for that matter, measure up the journey of where your new purchase will have to travel to get to where it’s going to be positioned. This means checking the width of doorways, tight corridors, and of course, the space where your refrigerator will sit permanently. You might also want to cover any floors with protective material to stop them from getting damaged.
The Amana ASI2575GRS has been designed to be kept indoors so this model won’t be suitable for storing in your garage or even a covered outside space. You’ll need to make sure there’s an extra ½ inch of space at the back and on top of your fridge so that it can ‘breathe’. There are two wheels at the front of this refrigerator to help you move it into place, and to help level the fridge once you’ve got it positioned.
The water dispenser on this refrigerator needs to be connected to your water supply but it does require a minimum water pressure of 30 PSI. As with all refrigerators, you’ll need to give this model a few hours to settle before you switch it on. To power the Amana, it simply plugs into a grounded three-prong outlet. It’s recommended that you do not use an adapter or an extension lead for this, so be sure to check you have the correct power outlet before installing.

Amana ASI2575GRS: What's good about it
There are many things we like about the Amana ASI2575GRS. The first of which is the price point. Available for around $1,200, the Amana ASI2575GRS is still a big investment but compared to other refrigerators with this capacity and finish, it's good value for money.
What's more, not all refrigerators in this price range have a water and ice dispenser so this is a welcomed feature. The ice dispenser also lets you choose which type of ice you prefer.
While it's not packed full of features, the Amana ASI2575GRS has well-designed storage. The gallon door bins will be very useful for storing large items or bulky cartons. The shelves and storage drawers are also easily adjustable so that you can make this refrigerator work to suit your preferences.
Controlling this Amana fridge is easy since it has electronic controls and there are also freshness controls that will help keep your greens in the best condition.
What we like most about the Amana ASI2575GRS, however, is it simply gets the job done. It comes in a variety of finishes to suit your decor preferences, and it provides cooling power and storage. Admittedly, it's not the most advanced refrigerator on the market, but it's also not priced as one.
Amana ASI2575GRS: What’s not so good about it
The Amana ASI2575GRS does have a warranty but it’s only valid for one year. This is disappointing compared to other models such as the Maytag MSS25N4MKZ which has a 10-year compressor warranty.
This refrigerator is also not Energy Star certified so you can expect to pay slightly more for running costs. It’s also worth noting that if you opt for the stainless steel version, only the front is coated in stainless steel and not the sides or top of the fridge, however, this is pretty common for this type of coating.
According to some user reviews, this refrigerator operates quite loudly which could be a real nuisance. Another element of the Amana ASI2575GRS that isn’t so great is the fact that the wheels at the front of the fridge can’t be locked, meaning the refrigerator may move slightly when you open and close the door.

The Amana ASI2575GRS scores an average of 4.2 out of five stars on Home Depot. Negative reviews claim this fridge is loud and some users were also disappointed to find the sides of the refrigerator are not coated in stainless steel. Some users also noted that the dual pad on the ice and water dispenser was easy to knock accidentally if you're using a larger cup. Others added that this a 'no-frills' refrigerator and that fingerprints show up quite badly on the black finish version.

Other users praise this fridge for its sleek design, affordability, and the ice maker that comes with it. One user said that it’s a “good quality appliance” and is ‘everything they expected and more’. Users also liked the fact that the water dispenser on this Amana fridge has a lock so that children can’t access it unless intended.
Should you buy the Amana ASI2575GRS?
The Amana ASI2575GRS is a great choice if you need a large refrigerator and don’t want to pay a fortune for it. It has an in-built ice and water dispenser and its shelves and door bins are adjustable. There's a choice of ice varieties and the gallon door bins will be a welcomed feature for those that need to store bulkier cartons or juices.
However, if energy efficiency and cutting down running costs are high on your agenda, It isn’t the most energy efficient option on the market and you also won’t be able to operate it via your phone.
There isn't a fingerprint-resistant finish on this model either, so bear in mind that it'll show up sticky fingers pretty easily. If things like that don't bother you though, the Amana ASI2575GRS offers great value for money.
