With an RRP of $39.99, the VicTsing Cool Mist is one of the cheaper humidifiers on the market. For this price, you really can’t expect the exceptional performance of humidifiers like the much more expensive Levoit LV600HH, or even half of the features, but with features like auto shut off and the ability to run continuously for up to 24 hours, it’s a good budget bedroom humidifier that can safely run overnight.

Designed to be easy to refill, the VicTsing Cool Mist is an easy to use humidifier and its large tank opening means it’s easy to clean too. The tank itself is on the small side at just 0.48 gallons, but that is enough to adequately humidify a small room for up to 24 hours on a lower mist setting. A 360 rotating nozzle ensures that mist is evenly spread around instead of just being sent in one general direction. This does also mean that it’s best placed with a bit of space around it, otherwise you’ll find yourself with a damp wall.
It’s also a really quiet humidifier which, along with the auto shut-off feature, helps make this a good option as for your bedroom. You’ll be able to sleep straight through with no annoying operational noises or worrying about the tank running out of water. This makes the VicTsing Cool Mist a good budget option for babies’ rooms too.

TechGearLab did find the VicTsing Cool Mist to be one of the less powerful humidifiers in its range of tests, but it was also one of the cheapest. They complemented its ease of use, with features like a carrying handle for easy refilling and large opening for cleaning, but they did feel that it was missing a few features that could boost its user-friendliness. They did comment on its low operating cost, thanks to its economical use of electricity and lack of any filters or wicks that would need replacing.

It’s particularly good for babies bedrooms and the auto shut off means its safe to use throughout the night as it will shut off as soon as it runs out of water. It’s not the best option for large rooms, but does a great job in small bedrooms.
Another simple humidifier is the Honeywell HCM-350 and it’s great value-for-money. The low price point does mean it is also missing a humidistat and, therefore, an auto mode but it does have a larger tank than the VicTsing, so can handle larger rooms, up to 500 square foot in size.
