Every part of this machine is well-made, heavy and durable, extending the life of your mower. However, this extra attention to detail does mean the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 is heavier than your standard gas-powered lawn mower, weighing in at a hefty 120lbs.

Our review takes a closer look at the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN’s functions and features, and gives you an idea of what to expect from this workhorse of a machine.

If the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 isn’t the perfect lawn mower for your backyard, then take a look at our buyer’s guide to the best gas lawn mowers to find a model that suits.

Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1: Features

While it has all the basics covered, like 3-in-1 operation for bagging, mulching or discharge, the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 lacks some of the more advanced features of the more expensive lawnmowers on the market. For instance, there's no blade-stop technology on this model - for that, you'll have to upgrade to the more expensive Weibang WB537SCVAL, which costs $999.

The features you're really paying for here are the shaft drive engine and the commercial-grade 3-speed transmission. The build quality is also really high. It's impossible to convey in words how solid the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 is. It really is like a little tank!

It's worth giving the Weibang's wheels a mention. They're rubber, not plastic, and have double ball bearings for extra durability. And they need it because at 120lbs this is a very heavy mower. You probably don't want to be lifting it into a truck or hanging it on a wall, so you need to take that into consideration when buying. The handle folds down easily though, and you can set it up on its back wheels for easy cleaning.

Pushing the mower isn't a problem though, because it's self-propelled, and the powerful engine means it has no problems going up hills, in fact, it feels like it's been built for that job.

Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1: Performance

The Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 is a pull start mower, but it has easy start technology built-in, so that it starts first time, every time.

Once it's running this mower is perfect for any conditions, including steep or hilly lawns, and thanks to the professional-grade transmission and powerful 196cc engine there's plenty of torque.

When it comes to running this mower, there are more controls with the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 than you might be used to in a standard lawnmower. For instance, there's a three-speed controller for self-propulsion, and a separate throttle controller, so you can idle the engine down before you turn it off, which will increase its life.

We keep emphasizing it, but in terms of durability, the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 really does feel like it's been built to last a lifetime, just make sure you change the oil occasionally and you should be fine.  If you'd prefer to use batteries over oil, then check out our guide to the best electric lawn mowers too.

Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1: Price

The Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 costs $799 on Home Depot and that puts it close to the top end of the gas-powered lawnmower range. But considering the build quality and the engine you're getting here, we think it's actually pretty good value.

Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1: User reviews

The Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 scores a massive 4.9 out of 5 stars on Home Depot's website, with a huge 93% recommendation, which is one of the highest scores we've ever seen.

It's no surprise that the build quality, smooth running, powerful shaft engine with a 3-speed gearbox and general robustness of the whole mower are the key factors that people mention. Customers get a genuine buzz out of owning such an awesome piece of engineering.

This is a great mower! I saw this at the GIE Expo in 2017 and knew that I had to have one. The powerful shaft driven engine makes this mower unstoppable. It will cut in any weather conditions and can tackle any grass type and length, leaving no clippings behind. The single height adjustment and quick folding handles make using this machine a breeze.

Should you buy the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1?

It’s no surprise that people who’ve purchased the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 are its biggest fans. Its durability and reliability are second to none, while its engine power and smooth operation have owners singing its praises. And you get an awful lot more for your money, compared to similar lawn mowers in this price bracket.

However, the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 isn’t your typical lawn mower. The precision engineering, power, and design that has gone into this model takes it far beyond a basic mower that you can push around your yard for half an hour or so. Its hefty 120lb weight makes it less than ideal for maneuvering around a smaller lawn too. So unless you have a large backyard that needs constant maintenance, or you’re looking for a professional piece of kit to use commercially, the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1 could be overkill.

If this product isn't for you

If you’re looking for something in a similar price range, but lighter than the Weibang WB537SCV-3IN1, why not take a look at the Honda HRX217HZA? Easy to use and with all the features you’d expect from Honda, it also has an electric key start, twin blades and a 200cc engine.

For a truly lightweight option, the Craftsman M105 gas mower weighs in at just 65 lbs, making it one of the easiest mowers to maneuver around any lawn. It also features six cutting height positions and mulching functionality.

If you’re looking for a mower that will cut your mowing time down considerably, the aptly named Toro TimeMaster 21199 makes light work of yards, covering as much as a full acre in around an hour.
