PROS / TicketCity has free shipping and delivery.
CONS / This service lacks a return policy.
VERDICT / Because this service buys tickets outright, it's a great place to go if you don't want the hassle of monitoring ticket sales or the worry that you won't be able to sell your tickets. It's a good site for purchasing as well, as the free shipping could make the difference in ticket price.
TicketCity buys and sells concert tickets as well as tickets for other events. While it's missing some features and doesn't have the breadth of selection of other concert ticket websites we reviewed, it has some standout features that make it well worth considering.
First and foremost, TicketCity will buy your tickets outright. This is convenient because you don’t have to list them yourself and wait while they sell or deal with monitoring and adjusting the prices to stay competitive. This is great if you don't want to deal with the hassle of reselling but want to get back some of your money for tickets you cannot use.
TicketCity was one of the few concert ticket websites that didn't have tickets for some of the concerts we searched for. The prices varied greatly for concerts we looked at, sometimes among the highest and sometimes among the lowest. However, the fact that it charges no fees will make a difference in final price. It's certainly worth taking a few minutes to do the price comparison.
TicketCity also has quite a few convenience features. This is one of the few sites that offers paperless tickets. With this option, you can use your credit card as your ticket. This is only available where the venue supports this option. Just show up with the credit card you used to pay for the ticket and ID, and a quick swipe will verify your purchase and get you admitted. Unfortunately, some of the features are hard to find on this website, requiring extra scrolling to see or even calls to verify if the feature (like picking up the ticket on-site) is available for that concert.
This concert ticket service has several discount programs, including fan rewards and programs for businesses wanting to buy tickets in bulk for corporate events. You can also purchase gift cards from TicketCity.
TicketCity is relatively easy to use but lacks some search functionality. Like other concert ticket websites, it uses interactive seating charts alongside the ticket listings. The ticket listings also include an eTicket option and parking passes as available.
Transactions are protected by VeriSign security, so you can feel safe sharing credit card information. This service is also a member of the National Association of Ticket Brokers and adhered to its strict code of ethics.
The help and support for TicketCity is great. Not only does the webpage have an easy-to-use and detailed help center, but it also offers live chat. You can connect with a live service representative and chat online to have your questions answered immediately.
TicketCity is a good service for buying or selling concert tickets online. It's the place to go to sell tickets if you don't want to deal with the hassle and insecurity of selling unwanted tickets on commission. It has most of the convenience features we looked for in concert ticket services, but it didn't always have the tickets we looked for. Even so, with free shipping or delivery, it's definitely worth checking out and doing a price comparison.
