GoTickets is a secondary concert ticket broker that charges a flat fee to connect the seller and buyer. The 23-percent service fee is average for the secondary brokers we reviewed, but GoTickets has the highest shipping fees we encountered. Still, this service is a good place to compare ticket prices and seat availability, especially if you are looking for tickets to a sold-out show. This is one of the few sites we reviewed that doesn’t allow you to sell tickets, so you should consider another online broker, such as StubHub, if you have to sell tickets to a concert you won’t be able to attend.
Seating charts are integrated with the individual ticket listings and include some facts about the venue’s seating capacity, dimensions and average attendance, as well as interesting information about the venue’s history. Some maps also have a pop-up of the view from a particular section – this is a great feature for picking out the best seats in your price range.
This is one of the few concert ticket services we reviewed that still prefers to ship physical tickets instead of offering e-tickets or flash seats. The only way you can get an e-ticket through GoTickets is if the event is 24 to 72 hours away. The cheapest ground shipping option offered is $20, which is in addition to the flat-rate, 23-percent service fee. If you select the last-minute delivery option, GoTickets charges a $10 fee to email an e-ticket or make tickets available at will call.
Like all the concert ticket companies we reviewed, GoTickets has a secure website to keep your purchase transactions safe. It is also a member of the National Association of Ticket Brokers, which means it adheres to an industry-wide standard of conduct to protect its customers. GoTickets assures users that they will get authentic tickets from a secure shopping environment. However, it doesn't refund tickets unless the show is canceled, and it does not offer ticket insurance to get your money back if you cannot attend a concert.
GoTickets’ prices are some of the highest we encountered, but that varies greatly depending on the venue and ticket availability. This is a good service to use for comparing prices against other secondary brokers, especially if you’re looking for tickets to a sold-out concert.
