The controls are sleek. They are integrated into the lid and lay flat. You push buttons and rely on a lit display rather than clicking a dial into place.

The WA54M8750AV/A4 had the most options of any washer we compared, including 15 different cycles and 11 wash options. You can choose from all the expected washing options plus less common cycles like bedding/waterproof, super speed and brilliant whites. There are also options like pre-soak and delay end.

There is a built-in sink on this high-efficiency top-load washer; it sits atop the tub and can be used for pre-treating stains, etc. It allows you to soak and scrub stained items, with the help of a built-in water source, and then dump the pre-treated clothing directly into the washer.

This Samsung washer also has a steam feature, a unique feature which allows you to remove stains and kill bacteria for deeper cleaning.

This is one of the larger top-load washers available, with 5.4 cubic feet of capacity. That also means, however, that this washer isn’t very compact, so if you have a small laundry room, this likely isn’t the right fit. If you need a more compact washer, check out the Amana NTW4516FW. For bigger families, though, this can be a great addition. The speed loads are helpful for families too, powering through a full load in 36 minutes. That could be a sanity saver on a school night.

The Wi-Fi connectivity means you can get alerts on your phone when a cycle is complete. The app also helps you troubleshoot problems with the washer, so repairs are easier. This machine also reminds you to clean it every 40 wash cycles. Its matching dryer, the Samsung DVE54M8750V, is also Wi-Fi connected, so you can monitor the drying cycle and receive alerts when clothes are dry.
