The EGO POWER+ MEO800 is a great cordless lawn edger that comes with a decent five-year warranty - one of the longest of all models we reviewed. Ideal for small to medium-sized lawns, the EGO POWER lawn edger is a stick-style model and its blade is 8 inches long.

EGO POWER+ MEO800 Electric Edger: Features
This electric edger’s standout feature is that it’s cordless. This means you’ll be able to edge your lawn far away from the house, you don’t need to worry about cord lengths or extensions, and there’s no need to use smelly gas either.
The one drawback with the EGO Power+ MEO800 is that you do have to buy the battery and charger separately, meaning what initially looks like a great value edger, quickly becomes a whole lot more expensive.
What we did like about this edger though, is that it’s pretty versatile. The stick design allows you to add many other tool ends from the EGO POWER+ range. The cutting depth on this model is 3 inches, making it the best we reviewed for this particular feature.
For added stability, the EGO POWER+ edger has a guide wheel with depth adjustment that makes it easier to edge your lawn neatly. There’s also a variable speed trigger and a lock off switch.
While this model’s power won’t compete with a gas edger like the Craftsman E405 Lawn Edger, it’s plenty powerful enough for normal domestic use and the fact that there isn’t a cord is an added bonus.
EGO POWER+ MEO800 Electric Edger: User reviews
User reviews do mention that’s it’s a pain having to buy the battery and charger separately for this model. Other more negative reviews criticize how long the battery charge holds for, but there’s quite a lot of discrepancy about this.
There are a lot of positive user reviews however, with many saying this cordless edger is easy to use and the multiple head functionality is excellent.
Should you buy the EGO POWER+ MEO800 Electric Edger?
The EGO POWER+ MEO800 Electric Edger offers ample power and precision for small to medium-sized lawns and has a handy multi-head system. You will have to buy the battery and charger separately though, so if you’re looking for a bargain model, then this isn’t that.
