Efficient and economical, the Ener-G+ Infrared Electric Tabletop Patio Heater builds an infrared heater (powered by a standard AC wall outlet) into the base of a chic, modern bistro-style table. This earns it a place on our list of the best patio heaters with other like the Sundate Electric Heater and the Sunglo A244 Suspended Patio Heater

While the performance of most patio heaters suffers in the wind, the Ener-G+ Infrared Electric Tabletop Patio Heater keeps your legs and feet warm consistently – provided the weather's not so bad you'd prefer to stay indoors, of course.

Ener-G+ Infrared Tabletop Patio Heater review: Price

Ener-G+ lists three different bistro-style table heaters on its website, all with tempered glass tops. These range from $299.99 to $349.99 RRP. However, they're often available much cheaper that this through retailers such as Wayfair or Walmart.

Here, we are primarily considering the 29-inch-tall HEA-1575J77L model, available on Wayfair for below $230. Amazon sells the 34-inch-tall HEA-14756LED model for around $265.99, and Walmart sells the 44-inch-tall HEA-215J67 model for $305.99.

For comparison, these prices are in a similar range to a freestanding patio heater such as the Thermo Tiki Outdoor Propane Patio Heater. Although the coverage is significantly smaller, it's cheaper and more eco-friendly to operate.

Ener-G+ Infrared Electric Tabletop Patio Heater review: User Reviews

Wayfair customers rate the Ener-G+ Infrared Electric Tabletop Patio Heater HEA-1575J77L model very highly, giving it 4.5 stars from 14 reviews. Amazon customers are more critical about the more expensive HEA-14756LED model, giving it 3.7 out of 5 from 25 reviews.

While they praise the modern design and sturdiness of construction, negative points include very confusing assembly instructions, and the extent of the heating range. Several users emphasise that you need to sit close to it to feel the effect.

Should you buy the Ener-G+ Infrared Electric Tabletop Patio Heater?

More on heaters…

The Ener-G+ Infrared Electric Tabletop Patio Heater will fit comfortably into a chic, modern home decor, but would feel out of place in a more rustic, traditional setting. If you have a relatively small patio or balcony it's a great choice to keep you warm while you enjoy a drink outside.

We don't recommend it if you need to heat a large patio area for more than two or three people. If you're set on electric rather than propane, within a similar price bracket you could afford multiple cheap wall-mounted electric heaters, such as the Sundate Wall-Mounted Electric Patio Heater
