The Orren Ellis Razo Curved Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace: What is it?

Razo

The Razo is a curved, black wall-mounted electric fireplace with LED flame effect that has a whopping 10 different color settings and can be used with both the heat and flame effect, or just the flame, so it will give your living space some ‘wow’ factor even in warmer months. It works best in small spaces. There are other curved wall-mounted electric fireplaces on sale, but in this review, we’re looking at the Orren Ellis Razo Curved Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace.

Orren Ellis Razo Curved Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace: Price

This comes in at the astonishingly bargain price of $186.99 at Wayfair, so it’s a superb option if you’re on a low budget. There are more expensive models out there, but you can’t beat this on price and how it performs overall for the money.

Orren Ellis Razo Curved Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace: Features

Hold on a minute: is this a fireplace or a disco? With 10 color settings and five brightness levels of LED flame technology, you’ll have a lot of fun with this model. You’ll be able to choose an effect that not only matches your décor but also your mood, so this is a feature that scores highly in our book. The overall effect with the logs is 3D-like and really impressive. While the flame effect isn’t realistic (it can’t be, with 10 colors to choose from) it’s certainly going to be a talking point.

Key specs

Dimensions: 22 x 36 x 5-inches
Warranty: 1 Year
Settings: 2 heat, 10 flame effect
Thermostat: No
Remote control: Yes
Self Assembly: Yes

With this model, the heat source can be turned off while the flame effect is running, so it’s a great option if you live somewhere that’s warm enough to not need supplementary heating for a few months of the year.

The glass doesn’t get hot, so it’s a safe option around children and pets, and it comes with a remote control so you can change flame colors to your heart’s content.

Orren Ellis Razo Curved Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace: Design

This sleek, black fireplace doesn’t need to be fitted into a recessed outlet, so it’s easy to install. The curved sides sit flush to the wall, so unlike some models it doesn’t stick out like the proverbial sore thumb. That also means it requires less cleaning than models that don’t sit flush to the wall, which is always a bonus.

This model may also be installed below a TV, but always check the manufacturer’s safety recommendations for that. You’ll need to leave a sizable gap between the two in any case.

The Razo Curved Wall-Mounted Electric Fireplace also comes with a separate stand, so you can place it on the floor rather than wall mount it if you prefer. That’s a great option if, say, you’re renting, or might want to put it in another room at some point.

The downside is that the Razo Curved Wall-Mounted Electric Fireplace does have a large cord, so you’ll have to get inventive on how to hide that before you start installing.

Orren Ellis Razo Curved Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace: Performance

This model heats a small to medium space efficiently, but if you need to seriously heat your room, this might not be the model for you. It’s definitely leaning more towards a purchase based on aesthetics than performance (let’s face it, you can’t have everything). It’s designed to heat spaces of up to 400 square feet, so it’s still a good option for a living room.

Razo Curved Wall-Mounted Electric Fireplace: User Reviews

81 reviewers on Wayfair gave it an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. People who’ve purchased the Razo Curved Wall-Mounted Electric Fireplace rave about its flame effects, with several users stating that they bought the model specifically for that, rather than to heat their space.

The downside to this model is its huge power cord that users recommend is tucked up behind the fireplace. The majority of users are happy with the heat output with and say it heats quickly; others say it takes a little while compared to other supplementary heaters.

It scores well on how quiet it is, and users also like the option to place it on a stand and keep it on the floor. Installation is quick and easy, too. Users are also more than happy with the price of the Razo Curved Wall-Mounted Electric Fireplace.

Should you buy the Razo Curved Wall-Mounted Electric Fireplace

If you’re looking for an eye-catching, mood-enhancing model that heats a small space efficiently, then the Razo Curved Wall-Mounted Electric Fireplace is a great choice at a bargain price. You'll struggle to find this much heater for this little money anywhere else.
