The Whirlpool WED7500GW is a high-spec electric dryer designed to handle medium-heavy loads. With a spacious 7.4 cu. ft drum capacity, it can accommodate a full load or larger items such as bedding and luxury towels. This also means fewer loads, making it more energy efficient.

It is equipped with 26 dryer cycles to meet every requirement, and convenient programs to enhance performance.  The AccuDry sensor technology measures moisture and temperature levels, and automatically stops the cycle once items are completely dry. This is helpful in preventing overdrying and aiding fabric care. It also has a Wrinkle Shield option to eliminate creases setting into fabrics. The dryer is designed with Intuitive Touch Controls to select the right combinations for various materials or customize your own cycles to suit your needs.

If you run a busy household and short on time to wait for the Auto Dry options, the manually controlled Timed Dry can be set to fit around your schedule. These all enhance performance and alongside the Wrinkle Shield, deliver crease-free and evenly dry results.

For a high-spec dryer, you would think it would have Smart, Wi-Fi enabled capabilities. However, with its speed and number of options, this is unnecessary for such a model.

Whirlpool WED7500GW Dryer: Design

The Whirlpool WED7500GW Dryer is durable and well engineered. While it may not look fancy as other dryers, it does have practical features. Its glass door is a wide-opening hamper style that is easy for unloading and prevents clean items falling on the floor.  The top, LED touch controls make it user-friendly, and the interior light adds a stylish flair. It also has an end-of-cycle tone to let you know once your drying is complete which is always helpful!

Of course, the more practical feature is the large 7.4. cu. ft capacity drum designed to tackle heavy loads and larger items. This is perfect for families or large households, saving time and energy with fewer loads. Do bear in mind that the drum is rather deep for unloading, so you may need to fit a pedestal during installation.

But with 26 drying cycles to choose from, you can’t really go wrong! The Auto Dry programmes are consistent in setting the appropriate drying temperature and time for each load. Leaving fabrics thoroughly dry and wrinkle-free without any overdrying. However, if you’re running short on time, you can manually set the timed dry functions.

It also has a quiet operation, but the useful end-of-cycle tone will let you know when all is dry. An all round, powerful and super functional dryer that gets the heavy-duty jobs done.
