The NordicTrack GX 4.4 Pro has 30 workout presets and 25 levels of digital resistance, and provides many onboard options to add variety and challenge to your fitness routine. It's made by one of the best exercise bikes companies in the world, and has OneTouch controls make it easy to change settings.

It’s also iFit Coach ready, creating the opportunity for you to store up to four user profiles and access expert trainers worldwide. You connect your device with the bike using Bluetooth technology, and iFit Coach is both Android and iOS compatible. Once you sign up, you can participate in unlimited GlobeTrek workouts and LiveCast studio classes until your iFit membership expires.

To monitor your workouts, consider using one of the best fitness trackers, such as a Garmin or Fitbit. You can find the latter on sale among our round-up of the best Amazon Prime Day Fitbit deals.

The GX 4.4 Pro’s design and features are very much like those of the ProForm 8.0 EX. The ProForm machine has a more impressive console with an integrated DeViceGrip tablet holder. It also has a better designed webpage to describe its features. Both machines have MSRPs of $799, but you can often find discounted pricing online. If you’re looking for more affordable upright exercise bikes, we recommend the XTERRA Fitness FB350.

The GX 4.4 Pro doesn’t come with a wireless chest strap like you’ll get with the Nautilus U618, but it does have pulse sensors on its handle grips to monitor your heart rate. It has a maximum user weight of 300 pounds and an oversized, cushioned seat that adjusts vertically and horizontally. Its pedals are ergonomic and have adjustable straps. However, it doesn’t haven’t adjustable handlebars like the Diamondback Fitness 510Ub Upright and the U618.

This exercise bike’s comfort and convenience features include a water bottle holder, workout fan and speakers. It also has an auxiliary music port and a device rack. Its console has a 5-inch backlit display and can be repositioned to your preferred viewing angle.

The dimensions of the GX 4.4 Pro are 42.3 x 22.9 x 62.9 inches (length, width, height). Weighing 123 pounds, it is the heaviest machine we reviewed. By contrast, the XTERRA Fitness FB350 is the lightest, weighing just 42 pounds. While both bikes have transport wheels, the XTERRA bike also folds for storage.

Icon Health & Fitness warranties the NordicTrack GX 4.4 Pro’s frame for a lifetime and provides a two-year parts warranty. Labor coverage is included for one year. Warranty protection is important to consider because there are consumer reports of this exercise bike’s cooling fan not working and of its console adjustment mechanism breaking. If you have trouble with your machine, you can reach customer service by phone, email and live chat. In our experience, live chat was the most efficient, helpful option.
