Whilst we weren’t able to install every cooker in our round up in our own homes to thoroughly test them out, we’ve based our review on the leading models on the market, valuable user reviews and we’ve also delved deep to find out the things you need to know about your new range cooker.

GE JB750SJSS Electric Range Cooker: What you need to know

The GE electric range cooker comes in five different colors, including the fingerprint resistant slate color. Prices do vary per color and for this review in particular, we’ve focused on the stainless steel model.

The cooker offers three oven shelves and is 5.3 cubic feet, providing ample space for cooking up large meals. The cookertop features five elements and the controls for this range cooker are knobs at the back of the cooker, rather than touch-activated  buttons.

This electric cooker is freestanding and comes with a one-year warranty.

GE JB750SJSS Electric Range Cooker: Design & features

The GE JB750SJSS Electric Range Cooker features three shelves inside the oven, giving you lots of space for cooking, even for a crowd. The cookertop has five elements, one of which is a 2 in 1 element, meaning it can be used for large pans or ones that are much smaller.

For those that don’t like touch controls on electric cooker tops, this models has control knobs at the back of it, nearest the wall. These also have a control lock so that you don’t accidently switch them on. It is worth noting that if you’re adjusting the control knobs when you’re cooking, you will have to lean over the hot elements to adjust the controls.

Inside the oven, clever features including PreciseAir mean there’s no need to turn around your food in the oven to get an even bake, which is really handy if you like making cakes. The additional Delay Bake function lets you choose when you’d like the oven to turn on.

As with many modern electric ranges, this model has a self-clean setting but the glass on the cooktop needs to be cleaned each time you use it and it’s worth investing in some proper cleaning products to help you do this.

As with most appliances with a stainless steel finish, fingerprints and marks can show really easily however, a fingerprint resistant slate color is available.
