The Bertazzoni P304IME is a good option, but it's not the best induction cooktop we reviewed. It comes with touch controls, power-boost capabilities and a range of power from 1,200 watts to 3,000 watts. The Bertazzoni P304IME induction cooktop also boasts a two-year manufacturer warranty, which is one of the best warranties that we saw for an induction cooktop. However, it is missing several features and settings found on higher-ranked products, which is why this model ranked lower on our lineup.

Bertazzoni P304IME induction cooktop: What you need to know

The Bertazzoni P304IME induction cooktop features four burners ranging in power from 1,200 watts to 3,000 watts. While this is enough power to simmer and sear food, it is not nearly as powerful as similar products on our lineup, such as the Frigidaire FGIC3067MB. Other cooktops provide up to 3,700 watts of power. The more power, the faster you can boil water and cook food. This cooktop comes with power-boost functionality that allows you to send a surge of power to the heating element quickly, but you cannot use the booster function on all four burners at once.

When it comes to features, the Bertazzoni P304IME offers a small handful: It features pan-detection capabilities, which means the heating element is only activated when a ferromagnetic pan is placed on the burner. In addition, the pan must be a minimum width. This size of pan required depends on each individual burner. However, unlike the KitchenAid KICU509XSS, it doesn’t offer pan-sizing capability, which adjusts the heating element to match the size of the pan.

We would have preferred more specified temperature setting options as well. There is no designated warm feature to keep food warm without overcooking it. You can choose from nine temperature settings, with the lowest temperature designed for melting butter and chocolate. The Bertazzoni P304IME induction cooktop's controls are excellent: They are easy to clean and allow you to change the temperature and settings quickly.

Parts and labor are covered under a two-year warranty, the longest warranty of any induction cooktop on our lineup. Furthermore, if you wish to communicate with a representative from Bertazzoni, you can reach the company via email and telephone. There are no live chat options, which is a drawback. You can also access the user manual directly on the company website.

Should you buy the Bertazzoni P304IME induction cooktop?

The Bertazzoni P304IME is an induction cooktop that provides many of your basic features. We are pleased with its pan-detection feature and long warranty. However, we would like to see much more power on the cooktop, which would enhance this product and save you time while cooking. Despite the few drawbacks, the Bertazzoni P304IME still provides strong results to make it a beneficial appliance in your kitchen.
