The Frigidaire Gallery FGIC3066TB induction cooktop is especially good at fast cooking and easy cleaning, making it a great value pick in our round up of the best induction cooktops. This no-frills induction cooktop has a simple interface and auto sizing pan detection, which only sends heat to the bottom of your pan. The Frigidaire Gallery FGIC3066TB provides up to 3,480 watts of power, a built-in timer and hot-surface indicator lights. It also boasts touch controls at front and center that let you easily adjust the temperature and settings, along with dedicated controls for each burner. This is a feature that you will not find on all induction cooktops.

The Frigidaire Gallery FGIC3066TB features four burners that range in power from 1,450 watts to 3,800 watts. This range provides enough power to easily melt butter and sear foods. However, it is the average range of power for these appliances.

The four main heat elements on this induction cooker range in size from 7 to 10 inches in diameter. The 10-inch burner is not the largest element we saw on this type of cooktop. Some provide a large element that is 11 inches in diameter. However, for a low-cost model, 10-inches isn't bad. If you're looking for maximum luxury consider the Bosch FlexInduction NITP068UC

The Frigidaire Gallery FGIC3066TB induction cooker is also easy to clean. Because the cooktop generates heat only to your pan, anything that spills over the sides will not burn onto the surface of the cooker, meaning it can be wiped clean. However, if you do find yourself scrubbing (or using an incorrect pan with a rough edge such as an iron skillet) this has been known to scratch the surface of the Frigidaire Gallery FGIC3066TB induction cooker.

The touch controls and digital display on this cooktop are very responsive. There is a dedicated switch for each individual burner, and it also features one main control panel for functions such as setting the timer and locking the touch controls. The control panel is straightforward and doesn't require much learning curve or excessive use of the manual to understand how to use the cooktop's numerous settings. The layout of the buttons is intuitive and reflects the design of the Frigidaire Gallery 30" FGIC3066TB.

This induction cooker provides a handful of features that enhance its use, such as pan size detection. With this feature, the cooktop automatically detects the size of pan you are using and adjusts the heating element to match it. However, there is a minimum pan size for each burner. Each heat element features a large X. The pan must fully cover the X for the element to work.

This induction cooker comes with four heating elements, but others such as the GE Profile PHP9030DJBB have five. This might work better if you expect to be cooking lots of things at any one time.

There is also a warming feature that allows you to warm your food without overcooking it. To use this feature, you turn the burner to the lowest temperature setting. When in this setting, the cooktop displays an L to show the burner is in low heat. You can choose from nine different temperature settings as well as power boost capabilities. The power boost gives the burner additional high power for approximately 10 minutes before the burner automatically adjusts back to its high heat setting. This setting is useful for boiling a large pot of water in a short time.

The safety features of the Frigidaire Gallery 30" FGIC3066TB induction cooktop met our full expectations. A heat indicator light tells you when the cooktop is activated and the cooking zone is hot. It alerts you with the appearance of an H when the surface is too hot and could cause burns.

You can lock the touch display to ensure no heat elements are turned on without your knowledge. This feature is only available when the cooktop is turned off. On similar products, you can activate the control lock to ensure temperature settings are not adjusted while you cook.

The pan detection ensures that if a pan is not made from the right material, positioned correctly or the right size, the heating element automatically turns itself off within three minutes. This is an excellent feature that prevents the heat element from being left on without your knowledge.

The help and support from Frigidaire is excellent. You can reach support representatives via email or telephone if you have any questions or concerns. When we reached out to Frigidaire on multiple occasions, the representatives were fast to answer our questions and provided detailed answers.

All Frigidaire induction cooktops are also approved for installation above any other Frigidaire or Frigidaire Gallery Single Electric Wall Ovens.

In case you have any issues with this Frigidaire induction cooker, it is covered under a one-year manufacturer warranty for its parts and labor. This is the average amount of time these products are covered under warranty. Few are covered for two years or longer.

The Frigidaire Gallery 30" FGIC3066TB induction cooktop is an exceptional induction cooktop that offers numerous features to help you cook food quickly and easily. It has excellent safety features, including pan detection, heat indicator lights and control lock capabilities.

We were also impressed with the customer support we received from the company, and the range of power ensures that you have the energy needed to boil water quickly or simply melt butter or chocolate. With all the features and capabilities included on the Frigidaire Gallery 30" FGIC3066TB induction cooktop, it is well worth your consideration when you look for the best induction cooktop for your kitchen. This is an inexpensive cooktop, compared to those we reviewed that cost many thousands of dollars. For the price, we think it's a great value pick.
