The Isotonic Indulgence Back and Stomach Sleeper Pillow is a top seller for Bed Bath & Beyond, so we felt it was important to review it to see if it's good enough to make our best pillows guide.
But this affordable pillow has been around a while and there have been some really big advances in the land of bed pillows since it was originally launched, so will it stack up? This is what discovered...
Isotonic Indulgence Back and Stomach Sleeper pillow review: design
Compared to some of the plumper offerings in our guide to the best pillows, the Isotonic Indulgence Back/Stomach Sleeper Pillow is very thin. But while several experts recommend thinner pillows for back sleepers, we don’t recommend the Isotonic Indulgence for this.
The pillow is so soft that your head tends to fall through, and it feels like you’re resting on the mattress itself. Most of our testers, both back and side sleepers, didn’t like this lack of support and preferred the Sleep Number ComfortFit. However, our stomach sleepers really like this pillow because they could bunch it and sleep comfortably all night.
Isotonic Indulgence Back and Stomach Sleeper pillow review: performance
We tested the standard size Isotonic pillow, which is an in-between size that fits both standard and queen beds. You can choose a king size, too, that is 6 inches bigger.
The Isotonic Indulgence Back/Stomach sleep is a thinner pillow that works really well if you sleep on your stomach. Some side sleepers like this pillow too, especially since the down alternative filling lets you mold it into the shape you need, but most felt it was too thin and soft to really be comfortable. Though this pillow is inexpensive, the Isotonic Indulgence still comes with a 15-year warranty.
Isotonic Indulgence Back and Stomach Sleeper pillow review: verdict
We’re not too sure what this pillow is filled with. It feels like a silky, slippery down alternative material through the outside cover. But it holds its shape pretty well. Even after three months of use the Isotonic Indulgence still looks like it did when we first got it, without any deflation.
While the pillow itself isn’t machine washable, the removable cover is. The outside cover collects oil and dirt quickly, so it’s good that it can be easily cleaned. The Isotonic isn’t expensive, so we don’t expect it to last long, but it still comes with a 15-year warranty.
