The Tempur-Cloud Pillow has over 2,600 reviews with an average rating of 4.6 stars, so we simply had to find out if it's good enough to be classed as one of the best pillows for a better night's sleep. One review on the Tempur-Pedic website described the pillow as being 'soft as a cloud', so we simply had to try it for ourselves.
Tempur-Pedic is a major player in the world of sleep and has won numerous awards for its products. You can regularly find its products on offer, and the Tempur-Cloud can often be bought as part of a bundle offer to save you money. Let's take a look at the pillow now...
Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud Pillow review: Design
This luxury bed pillow is designed with a traditional shape that should be more appealing to back and stomach sleepers, which we'll soon discover. It also has a high-performance knit cover that can be removed for washing, but the pillow itself can't be machine washed. If the pillow gets dirty, Tempur suggests spot-cleaning.
It's extra soft and feels deep and plush under the hand. The 100% polyester knit cover is also soft to touch, adding to the pillows luxury feel. If you enjoy sleeping on a king size pillow you're out of luck here, as the Tempur-Cloud only comes in standard: 24"x15 3/4" x 5".
This isn't a cooling pillow though, so if you need something like that, take a look at the Beckham Hotel Collection Gel Pillow or the Nest Bedding The Easy Breather pillow instead. If staying cool during sleep is a challenge, also look at our best cooling mattress guide.
Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud Pillow review: Performance
Our sleepers noticed that the Tempur-Cloud caused them to get a bit hot at night, and most ended up flipping the pillow over at least once to find a cool spot. This is because the memory foam inside is a solid piece, so while it gives great support, it isn’t as breathable as pillows that are filled with shredded memory foam pieces.
This pillow, because of its firmness, isn’t a good choice for stomach sleepers, and most side sleepers preferred the Sleep Number ComfortFit because it has more give and is a bit softer.
Should I buy the Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud Pillow?
The Tempur-Cloud surprised all of us and became a favorite among back sleepers and some side sleepers in our testing panel. It feels quite firm to the touch, but when you lie on it, your head sinks softly into the pillow while the edges remain supportive yet comfortable.
The only downsides are that the pillow gets hot at night, and Tempur doesn’t allow returns on its pillows. However, you are covered with a five-year warranty against manufacturer defects.
Several of our testers mention being able to literally feel their neck and back in alignment while using this pillow. In fact, one of our sleepers, who has suffered for several years from a neck injury, mentioned that the Tempur-Cloud dished out so much support that they were able to sleep all night and wake with no pain.
