The Broan Elite XE under-counter trash compactor features the highest trash compaction available at a 6-to-1 compaction ratio. The waste compactor comes with a control panel that allows you to delay the compaction cycle and will hold it for up to two hours to help the trash retain its shape. It also has easy access for cleaning, built-in odor control, customizable cabinets and a hidden toe kick. The Broan comes in heights between 34 and 35 inches, all with a width of 14 7/8 inches.
At a 6-to-1 ratio, the Broan Elite XE has a powerful compaction force of 3,000 pounds. This means you’ll be going out to the curb six times less than you use to. For large families, this could mean a reduction to once or twice a week. The 3/4 horsepower motor also means a quieter experience, an important attribute when used with delayed compaction. With the Broan Elite, you can set the timer to compact in the early morning hours without worrying about waking up.
The machine has a full-swinging, reversible door that allows the compartment to roll completely out of the unit and includes a full-extension trash bucket. This means that when the time comes to clean the garbage compactor, it will be easier to wipe down the hard-to-reach corners. The bucket front also lowers, which should make changing the bag easier when the home trash compactor is full.
Trash compactors have a stigma based on odor. People tend to worry that keeping trash around longer means smellier trash. The Broan Elite XE uses a unique formula that is placed in a wax base. The base is separated into six individual segments that last a month. So, you should only have to replace the order-neutralizing disc every six months.
The Broan Elite XE comes in several decors to match your existing cabinets, making sure you don’t have a patchwork quilt of door styles. The door can be fitted with the same wood as your current panels if you want to hide it completely, or you can choose stainless steel, black or white.

Another feature that helps hide the trash compactor is its toe kick. Instead of an exposed kick, the toe kick blends into the recessed bottom of most cabinets. This not only hides the kick, but makes sure it isn’t touched accidentally while roaming the kitchen.
This is a trash compactor that has considered any worries you might have about compaction. The capacity is high, it hides well in the cabinetry and the odor-neutralization system requires little maintenance. The delay feature also saves you a lot of time.
