The HP Officejet Wide Format 7110 is impressive in all facets for a wide format printer. The 7110 has the ability to print media up to 13 x 19-inch projects, and it does so in high color and black and white resolutions. This compact printer also boasts the ability of ePrinting, which allows you to print wirelessly from your mobile devices.
The HP Officejet Wide Format series has an array of options to choose from. Depending on what you need from your printer, this series provides single-function printers and all-in-one printers which range in different sizes and price.
If this printer could talk, I’m sure it would have plenty to say about its impressive print speed and quality. This compact printer can pump out black and white prints at a speedy 15 pages per minute. Though this isn’t the fastest printing speed we saw in our reviews, it is still in our top tier for compact printers.
Equally as impressive is this printer’s ability to make color prints at a sharp resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. This wide format printer comes with up to four separate ink cartridges. This is to provide better quality prints and to provide you a longer time range before you have to replace your ink cartridges. This also allows for you to print quality photos when you use premium printing paper. When you lower the quality of color printing you can print up to 8ppm of color prints.
This printer can handle a heavy workload. With a monthly duty cycle of 12,000 prints, you can get your money’s worth out of your printer before it starts to show any signs of wear and tear. This is among the most durable printers that we have reviewed.
While other printers in this series provide smaller printing trays that only hold up to 150 pages, the 7110 small printer can hold up to 250 pages. What is more impressive than that is the wide variety of media sizes this printer can handle. This mini printer can handle everything from 3 x 5 index cards to 13 x 19-inch wide prints. It doesn’t matter if you need to print envelopes, labels, photos or transparencies – this HP compact printer can handle the challenge.
You have the option to connect the HP Officejet Wide Format 7110 to your computer via USB or you can pair it wirelessly with your computers. You can also use the ePrint platform to wirelessly print documents from your mobile devices. The way this works is during your ePrint setup, your printer is assigned an email address so when you need to print documents wirelessly you essentially send them to your printer’s email address as attached documents and your printer will print them out. This type of wireless capability helps set this series of printers apart from its competitors.
Obviously, for a printer to print in wide format, you are going to need a wider printer. Dimensionally at 23 x 14.5 x 7.5 inches (W x D x H), it is about the size of your typical compact printer except a tad bit wider. What we didn’t like is that the HP 7110 weighs 18 pounds, making it one of the heaviest printers that we have reviewed.

This printer is what you’d expect from HP – quality and speed combined with versatility. The fact that you can use this printer wirelessly provides more printing options for you and more mobility. We recommend this printer to anyone, especially if you have the need to print in wide formats.
