ASAP is willing to ship ink cartridges internationally – an option offered by no other service we reviewed. Even our top picks only ship to Canada and the United States.

ASAP Inkjets has one of the lowest inventory scores in our tests, in part because the service doesn’t carry original manufacturer cartridges and has fewer brands than our top picks, 4inkjets, and 499inks. However, at about 2 cents a page, it does have a lower average price for remanufactured cartridges than some of the best discount ink cartridge sites.

But while the prices are some of the best available, it's missing some key service features. While it offers higher discounts for purchasing more of the same cartridge repeatedly, the store doesn’t have special programming for organizations such as schools or corporations. So if you order in bulk, you won’t get additional discounts.

We didn’t see as many coupons on ASAP as on other sites. You can enter your email to get an additional 5 percent discount, however. For its low inventory, the site had a surprising number of brands – more than half of the top retailers.

At $49, the minimum order size to get free shipping is about the same as some of our favorite stores. If your order is smaller than this, it may be worth comparing your total cost against a site that offers free shipping on every order, such as Inkcartridges.com.

The site is a little out of date in design. The homepage is cluttered, but it does have a search bar to find the cartridges you’re looking for. The banner menu isn’t overly helpful, and it takes a lot of scrolling to find the FAQs link as well as customer support and returns information.

Another noticeable drawback is ASAP’s strict return window: only 90 days after purchase. If you’re buying in bulk, it can take a while to discover a defective cartridge, so we gave higher marks to sites that allow a year for returns.

The site contains no troubleshooting guide, and there is no option to chat live with a support rep or send a message via social media. ASAP also lacks modern payment options. You can’t make purchases using your Amazon or social media account. You can check out with PayPal, however.

Unless you need to ship your packages internationally, we’d recommend skipping ASAP Inkjets in favor of a site that offers more attentive customer service, more user-friendly pages, and a much larger inventory.
