The Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute is an impressive vacuum cleaner that exceeded our expectations during testing. With a child, two long-haired pets, and two adults working from home, our reviewer's household produces a lot of dirt and debris, and the Dyson V12 Detect Slim easily handled it. The vacuum cleaner's maneuverability was a standout, as it easily navigated tight corners.
The LCD screen was also appreciated, showing the particles removed and the time left for cleaning. Emptying the dust cup is also a breeze with the push of a lever, and the additional accessories, such as the duster brush and Hair screw tool, proved to be just as useful.
The Dyson V12 Detect Slim was able to effectively suck up both fine and larger particles on both carpeted floors and hard floors in our tester's home. The Fluffy cleaning head on a hardwood floor picked up every last grain of flour, oats, and cookie crumbs, often in one fell swoop. The Motorbar cleaner head was similarly effective on carpeted floors.
