Amazon's Prime Day sales aren't the only time you'll see big discounts on home tech. Some early Prime Day deals are just as amazing, and this robot vacuum cleaner deal is one of them.

For a limited time only, Amazon is offering the Shark AV2501S AI Ultra Robot Vacuum for just $249.99 instead of the usual $549.99. That's a staggering 55% off. After checking the price history, Amazon occasionally discounts this model, but this is the lowest price we've seen in two years.

There's a whole bunch of jargon in the descriptions – Matrix Clean Navigation, Self-Empty XL, and so on. Still, in plain English, this is one of the smarter robot vacuums, with mess-free automatic emptying and smart navigation that means it won't keep missing bits of your floor or carpet.

This is a very powerful and capable robot vacuum cleaner with AI-powered mapping, a bagless self-emptying base, and very strong suction. And with 55% off the usual price, it's a serious bargain.

Shark AV2501S AI Ultra Robot Vacuum: key features

One of the key features here is the navigation system. Where many of even the best robot vacuums do a single pass over each bit of floor, the Shark AV2501S AI Ultra Robot Vacuum goes over multiple times to ensure that dust and dirt can't hide. It also has 360-degree LIDAR vision to spot obstacles, and it can do so in the dark, too, so you don't need to leave the lights on for late-night cleans when you're not home.

This is a particularly good option for carpeted homes and homes with pets because it has powerful suction and a self-cleaning brush roll to capture dust, dander, and pet hair. It also has HEPA filtration to help keep allergens trapped, and that filtration applies to the convenient self-emptying system, too.

Battery life here is impressive, delivering up to 120 minutes of runtime before returning to its base station for a recharge.

We haven't tested this specific model, but we have tested plenty of the best Shark vacuums, such as the Shark Detect Pro. While we're not always delighted with the smartphone app, we can't fault the cleaning power or the fact that Shark robot vacuums are very low maintenance.
