Why you can trust Top Ten Reviews Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test.

The Marcy Club 200lb Home Gym is one of the more affordable full body workout machines you'll find, making it one of the best home gyms for those on a smaller budget. It's perfect for people who want to tone and build muscle at home, rather than venturing out to a fitness center or paying expensive monthly membership fees.

This home gym is also ideal for those of you with limited space at home, as it has been purposefully designed to slot into more confined home fitness spaces. This means it could slot in more easily alongside other home exercise equipment, such as the best treadmills or best exercise bikes for high intensity cardio training.

The Club 200lb Home Gym focuses on a variety of muscle groups, and you can rotate through the different areas of the machine for a full body workout. This is similar to the Bowflex PR3000. In our review, we look at the machine's design and top features to see if it's right for you.

Marcy Club 200 Gym review: Design

The Marcy Club 200lb Home Gym is an affordable weight stack machine with a price tag below $800. That puts it on a par, price wise, with the Body Solid Powerline BSG10X, and has comparable features too. However, the Marcy Club has a shorter warranty.

The Club 200lb Home Gym has a weight stack lock to enhance your safety while using the machine, along with a protective stack cover made of durable steel. Unlike most of home gyms we've looked at, Marcy's offering doesn’t have any optional attachments and accessories for you to buy. That means you won't be able to expand it in the future to focus on new exercises.

It's also designed for just one user at a time. This is similar to the approach taken by the Total Gym FIT and the Total Gym XLS

Although the Club 200lb Home Gym's maximum user weight isn’t specified online, Marcy’s customer support team told us it’s roughly 300lbs. The machine itself has a compact footprint of 52(L) x 39(W) x 85.5(H)".

Marcy Club 200 Gym review: Features

The Marcy Club 200lb Home Gym enables you to perform 15 different weights based exercises. These work your legs, chest, pectorals, trapezius, hamstrings, quadriceps and glutes.

The different workout stations include a leg developer, dual-function press arms, a row, and a removable arm curl, which is impressive for this lower price. The machine is also cushioned with high-density foam, so you'll have a more comfortable workout.

As its name suggests, the Club 200lb Home Gym provides 200lbs of resistance. Unlike the Bowflex Xtreme 2SE and the Life Fitness G2, its resistance isn’t upgradeable. If you prefer to add resistance as you become stronger, you might prefer a machine that can grow with you.

Like the majority of machines we've reviewed, the Marcy Club 200lb Home Gym has a high-pulley station and is designed to support leg extensions and curls. There are no mid or low-pulley stations, however, and it doesn’t come with instructional guides or videos. However, we did obtain a workout chart from customer service upon request (it would be easier if they just published this online for all customers).

To keep tabs on how hard you are working out, draft in one of the best fitness trackers to monitor your heart rate, calories burned and more.

Should you buy the Marcy Club 200 Gym?

Essentially, the Marcy 200lb Home Gym is a great value machine for achieving a full body workout in the privacy of your own home. It's smaller than most competitor machines, and is therefore lighter too. Most noticeable is the more affordable price tag, which puts this in line as a great choice for beginners who are new to weight training at home.

It doesn't offer the same top-level features you'll find on expensive home fitness systems, but for the price there's a lot to like here. If you need a full body workout machine for multiple people to use at once, take a look at our Powertec Workbench Multi-System review or the Yukon Wolverine Multi-Station Gym. Both of those are designed for three people to workout simultaneously.
