LG makes some of the best washing machines around. Its WM4200HBA washing machine is packed with cutting-edge cleaning tech and has a massive washing capacity too, but its usual price of $1,399 means it's one of the more expensive washing machines you can buy. So it's nice to see LG offering a really big discount: it's available direct from the manufacturer for a discounted price of $1,049, saving you $350.
The same discount was also available on the white version, but at the time of writing that one is out of stock – so you might want to move quickly if you fancy getting the Black Steel version for your home.
This particular machine is a front load washer with a large 5.0 cubic feet capacity, which LG calls "mega capacity", that means you can get more washing done in less time. That's brilliant for busy households and large families.
What is LG TurboWash 360?
TurboWash 360 is LG's system for delivering great cleaning results without making you wait all day for them. It does that by tailoring the wash program to each individual load, controlling the drum and the spray to get the perfect combination for clean clothes in a fraction of the usual time. It teams that up with artificial intelligence based on studying literally thousands of different wash combinations, and that enables it to deliver wash programs that clean effectively while remaining kind to your clothes.
The other part of LG's tech equation here is Wi-Fi control. You can use the LG app to remotely start and control your appliance from wherever you are, get a notification when it's done and download smart washing cycles for specific kinds of clothes and stains – so you'll never have to Google "how to get grass stains out of sportswear" or "how to get spaghetti sauce out of white top" ever again.
