The Midea MAE50-S1102GPS is one of the better portable washing machines we reviewed because it features an easily transportable design, numerous wash settings and convenience features that make it a great choice for small spaces. This comes with some design elements that make it easy to move around the house as needed. Its casters allow you to simply wheel it into the kitchen or bathroom to hook it up and start using it. It also has cabinet handles to help you carry it where you need it.

In terms of energy use, this portable washing machine is at the higher end of models on our product lineup, but nonetheless, the overall costs are low compared to using commercial machines in a laundromat. This model uses an estimated 290 kilowatts of electricity per year under normal conditions, which costs $34.00 annually. That means the appliance costs about $2.83 per month to operate.

Weighing in at 68.3 pounds, this Midea MAE50-S1102GPS washer is a fairly lightweight model, so moving it around the house isn't a back-breaking experience. This portable washer is 36.3 inches tall, 20.3 inches wide and 20.7 inches deep, so you can store it in a closet when you're not using it.

This Midea MAE50-S1102GPS portable washer has a 1.6-cubic-foot washtub, which is about enough to fit one person's average load of laundry at a time. The machine can spin at up to 800 rpm, which means you can use it to pull more moisture out of your clothing before starting the drying process. This gives you a more efficient and shorter drying period. The machine replaces the agitator of traditional machines with a small pulsating disc that sits at the bottom of the washtub and spins your clothes to force water and detergent through them.

Unfortunately, the washer does not come with a noise reduction plate that you can install to muffle the sound of the machine. The plate that comes with this model is designed to prevent rats and other critters from crawling inside the machine. However, you can adjust the feet of the washer to prevent the machine from moving and causing a lot of noise.

This portable washing machine has six wash cycles and six water level settings, giving you several options when you wash your clothes. The heavy cycle is meant for sturdy fabrics, such as denim, and fully penetrates them with water and detergent, washing them thoroughly. The delicate cycle is designed to wash more fragile items without damaging them. You can also use the quick cycle to clean your clothes if time is of the essence. The spin-only feature pulls more moisture out of the fabrics, which reduces the time it takes for them to dry.

Midea MAE50-S1102GPS offers a one-year warranty, which is standard in the industry. If you need help, you can call or email the company, or check the FAQs section on the company website. You also can examine the online user manual.
