The digital air fryer from Holsem is convenient in some ways, including its digital control panel and integrated cord wrap, but we found it to be unpredictable and a little frustrating to use in general. We gave credit to machines that turn themselves off after running a cooking program but this one would shut itself off at odd times, for no discernable reason.

With a little coaxing, this unit still performed the main task of all air fryers – preparing crisp foods with almost no oil. It did burn more fries than the average fryer in our tests, which was disappointing. It was not great on chicken wings either. This one received the second lowest cooking score in our comparison. In every batch there were a few spots that were more done than others.

The Holsem's basket has a non-stick coating that made it easy to clean, though there were a few food chunks that wanted to stay put. With a little scrubbing it all came off. You can also just use the dishwasher with this one to save time.

This machine has a lot of multitasking potential. That is a definite plus since one complaint with these machines is they take a lot of room and only do one thing. The Holsem air fryer also comes with cupcake molds that can help you cook eggs or do small-scale baking projects. There is also a mini grill that you can use for fish and vegetables.

The Holsem air fryer was good in terms of safety. It stayed cool to the touch. It also shuts itself off after a cooking cycle, and sometimes before, as mentioned.

With a user-friendly digital interface, integrated cord wrap and good safety features, this air fryer is easy to use. Every batch seemed to have a darker spot or two, and it would turn off randomly – not ideal. It also made a lot of perfectly prepared food, but since others did such a good job of even cooking, it would be hard to recommend this one unless you find it on sale.
