With the vast majority of the population now practicing self-isolation due to the coronavirus, we’re relying on our technology to keep in touch and socialize with our friends, so why not make some money while you’re at it? Sprint, one of the best cell phone providers, are offering new customers a $300 prepaid Mastercard if you switch to their network and bring your existing smartphone with you. This offer extends to April 9.
And if you don’t already have one of the best smartphones, then Sprint still has a great deal for you too. Sign up to Sprint and lease any of their smartphones between now and April 9 and you’ll get a $100 prepaid Mastercard thrown in. And yes, that does mean any smartphone, so you’ll be able to snag the latest models like the iPhone 11 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S20, or a budget option like the iPhone 8 and Google Pixel 3A.
There are also some specific deals on certain smartphones too, which stack with the $100 prepaid Mastercard deal. For example, you can get the iPhone 11 on lease for just $15 a month. The usual price for an iPhone 11 is $29.17 per month, so that’s a hefty saving of $255 over the course of the 18 month lease. As with all Sprint Flex leases, at the end of the 18 month lease period you can choose to upgrade to a new phone or buy the phone outright.
We're big fans of the iPhone 11, which offers a fantastic camera and great battery life in an affordable package. See our full thoughts in our iPhone 11 review.
If you don’t mind buying a pre-owned handset and have the cash to buy it outright then there is another deal on right now at Sprint that is worth considering. Again, until April 9 you can buy a pre-owned iPhone 8 for $240, down from $374.99. That’s a saving of $134.99, though do bear in mind that you’ll need to pay for the cell plan on top of that price. Sprint Unlimited Kickstart costs $35 per month and offers exactly what you’d expect from the name - unlimited minutes, texts, and data.
The iPhone 8 is one of the best budget options out there, and we picked it as the go-to choice for anyone looking to pick up a budget iPhone. You can see what we thought of it in our iPhone 8 review.
