The RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill is a really great way to get a large four burner grill without spending too much. For the price it's impressive that this also comes with a stainless steel side burner too.
There's lots of cooking space on this big grill that is made with tough materials and runs of LP gas to kick out a massive 48,000 BTU of power.
Light all four of the stainless steel burners at the same time with a single button push thanks to the quick ignition system. Then get grilling on the coated cast iron grill which is super easy to wipe clean.
But this is a budget barbecue so there are issues like wobbly wheels and an ignition that can have problems. But for the price, you do get a lot.
So is this the best budget gas grill for you? Read on to find out.
RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill review: Design and build
- 480 square inches of cooking space
- 12,000 BTU per burner
- Porcelain coated cast iron grills
The RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill gives lots and lots of cook space, 480 square inches to be exact - that's about 28 burgers and more good space than the likes of the Weber Spirit II E-310. That grill area is made of porcelain coated cast iron. Cast iron so it's tough and lasts, porcelain coated so it's super easy to keep clean with a wipe down. Above that is more rack space thanks to a 180 square inch warming area, made with porcelain-coated steel since it won't need to withstand as much heat as the lower main cooking grill area.
The barbecue body is made mainly from stainless steel so it's built to withstand the elements of living outdoors. The lid is also stainless steel but features an aluminized steel liner and black steel end caps to give it a good finish and keep it insulated to keep the cook space hot when closed.
Cleaning is easy thanks to the porcelain coated grill but even the steel bottom bowl is porcelain coated so cleaning that is simple too. You also get a side burner, two shelves, an oval temperature gauge plus a built-in bottle opener. All that sits on two wheels for the ability to move this around if you want.
This runs of LP gas but is also VersiFuel compatible and can be converted to be used with natural gas using the VersiFuel Kit.
RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill review: Features
- Lidded side burner
- Push button ignition
- Porcelain heat plates
The RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill comes with those four main burners that kit out 48,000 BTU (more than the Char-Broil Performance 475 4-Burner) plus a lidded side burner, which is really impressive at this price point. All that can be lit using the single push button system. That means lighting one section or the entire grill can be done at once, easily.
There are porcelain heat plates which work to distribute the heat from the burners more evenly. They also mean that, should juices drip, there are less chances of flare-ups, keeping your food from getting burned.
The two side shelves are helpful while that end burner is ideal for heating sauces. The top rack inside is also a nice space for heating, making it ideal for toasting buns.
The bottle opener being built-in is a touch of genius. We also like the high height of the temperature gauge that makes it easy to read when the lid is closed. Also the large and wide handle is great as it can be grabbed to open the lid no matter which side of the grill you're working on.
RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill review: Performance
- Powerful heat
- Easy start
- Decent heat distribution
The RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill produced plenty of power, which covers the entire grill space so cooking and cooking fast, is not a problem. Thanks to the heat plates that heat is well distributed but, compared to some higher ends models, it's not perfect. Expect certain areas, like the back, to get a little hotter. Of course once you know this it could actually be useful when rotating your cooking.
Thanks to all that porcelain coating this is a very easy grill to brush down clean ready for the next session. Moving it isn't as easy. Yes there are two wheels but it's still a weight to move about and does feel a bit wobbly – this is probably a grill best kept in one place, where it then feels solid.
There have been reports of issues with the ignition not firing every time. This could just be faulty models but we thought it worth a mention a that could be frustrating – even if it doesn't impact the cooking once up and running, of course.
Should I buy the RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill?
If you want to make a great saving while getting yourself a four burner gas grill that also features a lidded side burner, this is for you. Quality materials and easy clean finishes make this a pleasure to use.
Spend a bit more and you could get longer warranty support and more even heat distribution plus features like rotisserie, infrared burners and LED lit knobs – but if all those are just unneeded extras in your mind then this is the grill for you.
