The Casper Nova Hybrid is a super-plush offering designed for people who want ultra comfort and support, as well as a bit of bounce. Happily, it's often included in the best Casper mattress deals, so you can usually nab a juicy discount when buying it... or at least walk away with a free gift.

Casper is one of our top picks for the best mattress online, and the hybrid is one of our favorite Casper mattresses overall. That's because it sports Casper’s signature Zoned Support Pro layers, offering seven layers of targeted support to ensure healthy spinal alignment.

That, along with pocketed coils that offer targeted pressure relief for your shoulders, waist, hips and lower back. The Casper Nova Hybrid is the perfect mattress for anyone who wants a mattress they can just sink in to without having to sacrifice support. It's also breathable, which is a feature found on all models in our guide to the best cooling mattress

In our Casper Nova Hybrid review, we look at the features, design, user reviews and spec of this sumptuous mattress to see if it's the right pick for you.

Casper Nova Hybrid review: Price and sizes

The Casper Nova Hybrid mattress prices are as follows: Twin: $1,095 | Twin XL: $1,245 | Full: $1,795 | Queen: $1,995 | King: $2,295 | Cal King: $2,295

A new mattress can be pricey but if it means that you can get a good night's sleep then it’s worth investing in a good one. The Casper Nova Hybrid starts at just $1095 and can be found in sizes from twin to a Cal King.

As we point out in our Leesa Hybrid review, Leesa's mattress is a cheaper alternative but it doesn’t have the same comfort levels as the Casper Nova Hybrid. When it comes to luxury, the Casper rates very highly. That said, if you prefer a more traditional feel, check out our Saatva Classic review

Casper Nova Hybrid review: Features and design

The Casper Nova Hybrid is made up of four layers and beneath the soft, four-way stretch fabric cover is the first layer of Casper Airscape foam. Much like the Purple's patented Purple Grid Technology, this Airscape foam layer is designed to feel plush yet responsive. It's also designed to increase airflow throughout the mattress to keep you cool throughout the night.

The next layer is also made of Airscape foam and features three ergonomic zones for healthy spinal alignment and pressure relief. The third layer is contoured memory foam offering zoned support which is perfect for combination sleepers as it will help the spine settle into its neural alignment so you can say goodbye to waking up feeling aching and stiff in the mornings.

And the final layer is where you’ll find the durable base of polyurethane foam with encased springs. This layer is what is pivotal in bringing some bounce to the bed and also offering support and firmness.

If you care about the environment and sustainability then you may like to know that all of Casper’s foams are made without ozone-depleting chemicals and are CertiPUR-US certified. The cover is also made from upcycled cotton, rayon, lycra, and recycled polyester that is partially made of up to 70 recycled plastic bottles.

The edge support on the Casper Nova is also better than average thanks to the perimeter of foam around the base of the mattress which maximizes the usable surface of the bed, so it also makes it an ideal choice for couples or those who like to sleep on the edge.

This mattress is designed to feel soft, plush, and luxurious whilst still cradling your body and keeping your spine perfectly aligned leaving you experiencing an excellent night's sleep, night after night.

Casper Nova Hybrid review: Support and comfort

Whilst this mattress is undeniably soft and has a very distinct plush, velvety feel it has a firmness rating of around 6/10 which is about a medium on the scale. The Zoned Support Pro system that this mattress offers relieves pressure under the shoulders, and provides more support under the waist, lower back, and hips to help align your spine.

The combination of foam and pocketed coils mean that this mattress does an excellent job of absorbing motion so if you’re sharing a bed with a partner who likes to move around a lot at night, you’re unlikely to feel it.

It also does a great job at providing temperature neutrality thanks to its patented “Airscape” technology which allows more air to flow throughout the mattress and keeps it a lot cooler than the Casper Original.

Whilst this mattress is good for all sleeping styles, back and combination sleepers may find this mattress a better fit.  It is a little too soft for strict stomach sleepers and side sleepers may find it too firm, but that’s why trying before you buy with the 100-night risk-free trial is a good idea.
