Panda Dome Premium gives you access to modules for Windows, Mac and Android, plus a VPN that is compatible with PCs and Android mobile devices. We found that Panda did a decent job blocking and securing against malware in our in-house tests on both PC and Mac computers. And tests in 2019 showed a flaw discovered during the previous year has been fixed.

To discover today's best security options, head to our best antivirus software guide.

Panda Dome captured and quarantined 90 percent of Windows malware and 72 percent of the Mac threats during our in-house tests. After looking through what it captured, we instructed Panda to remove the quarantined threats. During last year’s tests, the program moved deleted threats to our computer’s recycle bin. However, this year this internet security software securely and completely deleted all threats from our system so there was no chance of reinfection.

Beyond virus protection, Panda Dome includes some good tools that work well. The best of these is its safe browsing feature. A Panda icon clearly displays next to search results to let you know which websites are safe to visit. Panda Dome Premium includes a vulnerability scanner that looks for outdated software hackers and ransomware can use to sneak into your computer. It also has password managers and parental controls that work on both Windows and Mac computers as well as Android mobile devices.

Panda Dome isn’t compatible with iPhones or iPads. We found that Norton 360 and Kaspersky Total Security are both good computer protection programs, and they are compatible with iOS mobile devices.

On Android devices, Panda Dome Premium lets you block unwanted calls, and it has antitheft features to help you track and lock lost or stolen cell phones or tablets. In addition, you can save your contact list to Panda’s cloud storage, so even if your phone is lost or stolen, you can access all your contacts. The program comes with 20GB of online backup storage where you can save copies of files, important documents and photos from any of your devices. You can also access cloud storage from any of your computers or mobile devices.

One drawback we noticed while testing Panda is it created significant slowdown on our devices. It took a long time to navigate between websites or to attach files to outgoing email messages while Panda was installed and running. Virus scans created even more lag, so it was difficult to watch videos and play online games because of buffering.

Panda Dome Premium comes with modules for both Windows and Mac computers as well as mobile protection that is compatible with Android devices. You get 20GB of online backup storage to share between all devices as well as parental controls. Panda does an OK job of finding and quarantining threats, though other programs earned higher protection scores.
