The Saatva Zenhaven is unlike any other mattress around right now. You see, the Zenhaven, made from 100% American Talalay latex, has a different level of firmness on each side. That's clever, right? So if the Luxury Plush side isn't to your liking, flip it to the Gentle Firm side. No wonder the Zenhaven is one of Saatva's most popular models, and you'll often find it on sale among the best Saatva mattress discounts.

The Saatva Zenhaven contours to your body perfectly, offering continuous support so that you won't be woken up by any discomfort caused by the bed. This makes it one of the best mattress online choices for side sleepers as well as combination sleepers (those of you who flip and flop between positions).

The eco-friendly Zenhaven is handcrafted with durable and natural materials such as wool and latex, which also makes the mattress naturally cool. It's a similar tale for other Saatva mattresses, so we included them in our best cooling mattress guide.

Saatva Zenhaven review: Price and Sizes

Saatva has a range of mattresses including an innerspring mattress, a hybrid mattress, and an all-foam mattress. They also make a range of plush bedding, including pillows

The Saatva Zenhaven comes in most standard sizes from Twin through to Cal King, and ranges in price from $1,399 to $2,999 when not on sale. Whilst this certainly isn't the cheapest mattress on the market, the Zenhaven is packing a lot of comfort and support to justify that price tag.

Still, if you’re looking for a similar type of mattress but at a lower price, check out the Leesa hybrid or the Purple Hybrid for a similar firmness rating but at a slightly lower price. Our round-up of the best Purple mattress deals has the latest offers on each Purple mattress.

Unlike with most other sleep brands, you won’t find the Saatva Zenhaven turning up compressed in a box. This luxurious bed comes with free white glove delivery, with Saatva's team delivering the Zenhaven to the bedroom of your choice. If requested, they will also remove your old mattress.

The Saatva Zenhaven price (when not on sale) is as follows: Twin: $1,399 | Twin XL: $1,599 | Full: $1,999 | Queen: $2,399 | King: $2,999 | Cal King: $2,999 | Split King: $3,199.

Saatva Zenhaven review: Features and design

The Saatva Zenhaven mattress has a 10” profile, which is the average height for a mattress. However, this is actually taller than most latex models on the market. The cover is made from organic cotton and coated with an antimicrobial fabric, making it a good choice if you suffer with allergies.

The flippable Zenhaven 1.5” of aerated Talalay latex on each side that acts as a comfort layer. It also has different comfort levels depending on the side you choose to sleep upon. As mentioned earlier in our Saatva Zenhaven review, one side uses a medium-soft latex to create a Gentle Firm feel, whilst the other has a Luxury Plush feel and uses soft latex.

The comfort layer is divided into five zones and offers firmer support under your shoulders and hips, all to ensure targeted pressure relief as you sleep. Next comes a 6” layer of Talalay latex in between the comfort layers to provide a stable base layer.

The reason Saatva offers a 20-year guarantee on the Zenhaven is because Talalay latex is an all-natural material. It's highly durable and will outlast most other mattresses with ease.

There aren't many mattresses on the market that incorporate latex, and surprisingly it’s a brilliant material to use for mattresses as it’s eco-friendly as well as being allergen-free. The DreamCloud Mattress is another luxury hybrid mattress made using latex, and is designed to ‘give you the best sleep of your life, every night’. Casper mattresses are also eco-friendly, and are often discounted among the best Casper mattress deals.

Saatva Zenhaven review: Support and comfort

The Saatva Zenhaven offers two firmness options in just one mattress: Luxury Plush on one side and Gentle Firm on the other. On the firmness scale, the Luxury Plush is between 5-7 out of 10 and will conform to and support your body whilst feeling luxurious and plush. This side is better for side sleepers and combination sleepers, as it will leave you feeling weightless. So you won’t sink all the way into the mattress and should be able to move around with ease.

The Gentle Firm side is 8/10 and would suit those who prefer a firmer feel. That said, it still provides uplifting and pressure-free support. If you’re a stomach sleeper or weigh over 200lbs, you may find that this side of the mattress provides better support.

The motion support with this mattress is also second to none. So if you’re sleeping with someone who moves around a lot at night, it’s likely you won’t notice them wriggling around when you’re both sleeping on the Zenhaven.

It’s also a great choice when it comes to keeping cool. Although you won’t sleep as cool as you would on a mattress that includes coils, such as the Purple Hybrid, the open-cell structure does promote decent air circulation. Also, the nature of Talalay latex means it’s breathable, plus the addition of cotton and wool layers promote extra breathability to help wick away moisture.

Saatva Zenhaven review: User reviews

Saatva is well known for delivering both a quality product and home delivery service, and when it comes to the Zenhaven it’s not just us that has great things to say. The mattress has over 40,000 reviews on the Saatva website, with the majority being five star reviews.

Existing customers rave about how the Zenhaven has given them the best sleep of their life, and how the flippable system means they can find the perfect comfort level to suit their own personal tastes.

Some users do comment on how heavy the mattress is, which makes flipping difficult. We'd counter that by saying once you’ve discovered your preferred side, you won't need to flip it again in a hurry.

Should you buy the Saatva Zenhaven?

The Saatva Zenhaven is a versatile mattress that will suit a wide range of sleepers, especially side sleepers and combination sleepers. There's also the added bonus that, if your body weight or physical needs change and one side of the mattress no longer feels comfortable enough, you can flip it for an entirely different feel.

The Zenhaven also comes with a generous 180-night sleep trial and a massive 20-year warranty, so you have plenty of time to ensure it's actually the right mattress for your sleep needs.
